Riverfront Pavilion
The Riverfront Pavilion has stood since 1974 when it was part of the International World’s Fair. It was renovated in 2019 with a fresh look. We placed concrete to hold up the new amphitheater and elevated walkway.

Pavilion Project Details
We used line pumps, telebelts, big boom pumps, and conveyor trucks to achieve the dramatic concrete walkways and and sound walls that were the goals of this project.
Now called the Gesa Pavilion this amphitheater is a major icon of Spokane’s culture standing in the center of Riverfront Park.
The Central Gathering Place for the Spokane Region
Originally built as the U.S. Federal Pavilion for the World’s Fair Expo ’74, the Pavilion was a gift to Spokane from the United States government. In 2019, it was revitalized into a dynamic event space, hosting a wide range of public and private gatherings. From concert and movie series to fitness events, Hoopfest Center Court, beer festivals, weddings, and corporate celebrations, the Pavilion is designed for flexibility and community engagement.
Named Gesa Pavilion in 2025
More recently, in March 2025, the City of Spokane’s Park Board approved a naming rights partnership with Gesa Credit Union. Now known as the Gesa Pavilion, this 5,100-seat venue serves as a central hub for entertainment, cultural activities, and family-friendly events. The 10-year partnership marks Gesa’s first sponsorship of an iconic Spokane landmark, reinforcing its dedication to supporting the city’s vibrant community.
Sky Views of Pavilion Light Shows
The concrete walkway that Champion Concrete constructed allows visitors to walk up the sidewalk into the lighted sky for a magical view of the city and pavilion below.
The dynamic lighting effects display an array of color, brightness, and patterns. Light shows will be displayed every weekend, year‑round, for all of Spokane to enjoy.
